We designed an application for Choice Hotels
that streamlined the process for enterprise-wide
procurement of items used by their properties.
This application allowed purchase agents at various properties to access a centralized data repository that helped them to procure approved items at competitive prices.
The ability to negotiate low prices, due to centralized
pooling of resources at the enterprise level,
allowed for cost reduction and rapid procurement.
Also, the centralized data lead to the standardization
of products and services used by Choice Hotels.
We extracted data from various independent and
stand-alone data sources. This extracted data
was transformed, cleaned, and loaded into a database
designed for enterprise level procurement and
distribution.
We were involved in the analysis of business
needs, database design, and development of a complete
application that allowed for data entry, streamlined
business processes for approval and procurement
of various items, and universal access to property
owners at the enterprise level.
This application also allowed users to keep track
of orders placed and deliveries made and produced
standardized reports for use at various levels
of management.
